Back to Battletech

It looks like I'm back to painting Battletech. My friend Gian has asked me to paint a bunch of mechs for a tournament he'll be attending in January, plus a bunch more random ones.

I'm taking my time with this lot, I completed the ones he needed more urgently and the rest will come in due time.

For now I finished 7 clan mechs for him, one in a non descript grey livery, the rest in Clan Ghost Bear colours.

Birthday present

This time I have a trio of Warzone second edition figures I painted for my friend Felè's birthday.

I might have spoken of this in the past, but I like to paint minis from friend's stash as a birthday present, it is better than buying them figures, because it is a dent in the pile that any wargamer would definitely appreciate.

For Felè, my old times Warzone buddy it had to be some Bauhaus miniatures, he has mostly played this faction in our Warzone career.

In the specific, they are some second edition Bauhaus Vulkan Battlesuits, really nice figures, a little bit of a paint to assemble, especially the grenade cage on the top, which, after many very frustrating attempts, I decided to replace with one of my making. My version looks more rugged, but it suits the WWI style of these guys.

RPG character

I'm not doing commission painting anymore (mostly), except for a few things here and there for friends.

This is the figure that one of my player's use as his D&D character. Its left arm had fallen off, so I took it in for repairs and while I was at it, gave it a few touch ups and highlights.
