Best commission miniature of 2022/La migliore miniature su commissione del 2022

 This will be the last post for 2022 and by chance, it also happens to be the best, I got this to paint for my friend Max almost as a joke, but I think it's a great piece, full of humor and character, just for the fact that it is a floc of chicken.

Questo e' l'umtimo post del 2022 e, per puro caso, anche il migliore, ho preso questa miniatura da dipingere poer il mio amico Max quasi per scherzo, ma penso che sia un pezzo particolarmente umoristico, solo per il fatto che si tratta di uno "storno" di polli.

Persian light cavalry/Cavalleria leggera persiana

 A quite large unit of Persian light cavalry I recently painted for Dave. These are Victrix models, quite large and, in my opinion, very overdetailed. 

I'm sure painting just one or two of them might be great, but having to paint a whole dozen has been a real chore, and I only just did washes, with almost no highlights, so, for just a very basic paint job, they feel like a fully highlighted unit in term of work.

I guess they are great as display models, but for wargamers, I would not be all that sure.

Un'unita' abbastanza grande di cavalleria leggera persiana che ho dipinto per Dave. Sono pezzi della Victrix, abbastanza grandi e, secondo me, troppo dettagliati.

Sono sicuro che dipingerne un paio sarebbe molto divertente, ma farne una dozzina e' stata una vera punizione, anche se ho fatto solo delle lavature e quasi nessuna lumeggiatura, una pittura molto basica, ma come lavoro, e' stato come dipingere un'unita' completa di lumeggiature complete.

Direi che come pezzi da esposizione siano una gioia da dipingere, ma come pezzi da gioco non sarei cosi' soicuro.

Dwarf legionaries/Nani legionari

 This small group of dwarf legionaries has been painted for my friend Garner's birthday.

They are great models from RAFM and they are very characterful, combining the roman legionaries style with a very WWI german style helmet.

I based them on hex bases to get an old WFRP look.

Questo piccolo gruppo di nani legionari e' stato dipinto come regalo di compleanno per il mio amico Garner.

Sono degli splendidi pezzi della RAFM molto particolari, che combinano con successo lo stile dei legionari romani con un un elmetto molto tedesco prima guerra mondiale.

Li ho montati su basette esagonali per ottenere uno stile vecchio WFRP.
